Fine coir (coir pith)
The fine pith from the coconut husk. Takes up water again quickly, even after drying out, and has a stable structure that breaks down slowly. For use in substrates it is washed and buffered with calcium and magnesium, so that sodium and potassium do not upset the nutrition. The most important peat-replacing component in our mixes.
