Cookie policy
Version [date]
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They make it possible, for example, to process a form securely.
Which cookies do we use?
By default we only place strictly necessary cookies. No consent is needed for these.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| dh_session (over https: __Host-dh_session) | Protects forms against misuse and shows a confirmation or error message after sending. Only set once you open a form or ask the assistant your first question. For the assistant, the cookie is needed to send your question securely; opening the window does not set it yet. Dutch Horizon staff also use it to stay logged in to the administration area. | Strictly necessary, first-party | Until the end of your browser session; in the administration area until logout, after 30 minutes of inactivity or after 8 hours at most |
| dh_consent | Remembers that you closed the cookie notice | Strictly necessary, first-party | 12 months |
| dh-chat:en (one per language, for example dh-chat:nl) | Keeps your conversation with the assistant in this tab, so that it is still there after you follow a link. This is not a cookie but temporary storage in your browser (sessionStorage). We do not use this storage to track you. | Strictly necessary, local storage (not a cookie) | Until you close the tab or choose New conversation |
We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising or social media.
[Before launch, check that the website does not load third-party content that sets cookies or passes on data, such as external fonts, maps or videos; otherwise update this text and the privacy statement. The prototype still loads its fonts externally; they will be self-hosted before launch.]
Other cookies in future
If we want to use other cookies in future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
Deleting cookies
You can delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Without strictly necessary cookies, forms may not work properly.
