Description
For growers who want to reduce their peat content step by step without overhauling their growing strategy. Part of the peat has been replaced with fine coir and wood fibre; the ratio has been chosen so that the air-filled porosity is slightly higher than in a fully peat-based mix.
Wood fibre locks up nitrogen during the first few weeks, so the base fertiliser has been adjusted accordingly. Keep an eye on the EC during the first irrigations and correct a little earlier if needed.
- 45% peat, 30% fine coir, 25% wood fibre
- pH 5.5-6.2 and EC 0.6-0.9 (indicative)
- Slightly more open than a classic peat mix: at the start, water more often but give less each time

Storage and handling
Store bags dry, sealed and out of direct sun. Cover loose bulk against rain and drying out. Use fertilised substrates preferably within a few months and check pH and EC before use if in doubt.
